Introducing the ISPEP PLEDGE Membership: Broadening Access and Driving Collaboration

ree

The last couple of years have been incredibly tough on patient engagement professionals.

In an ironic contrast to patient engagement practices increasingly being required by influential bodies such as the FDA, a huge number of PEPs have been 'let go' from their roles. The few vacancies that exist are hugely oversubscribed, and PEPs who currently remain safe in their jobs are expected to deliver impact with grossly insufficient budgets.

It's partly due to this tsunami of budget cuts, redundancies, and job-hunting nightmares that ISPEP was formed in the first place – recognising that we as a community need to join forces, lift each other up, and use our collective power and expertise to tackle the very real challenges facing not just us as professionals, but every single patient we serve.

While membership fees are a key means of raising funds for our not-for-profit activities, we are cognisant of the fact that in the current chaos, many PEPs may not be in a position to comfortably purchase a membership at the usual rate.

Accordingly, we are pleased to announce the launch of the ISPEP PLEDGE membership. This is a subsidised annual membership (80% discount) specifically for those who are currently between roles. For this, PEPs will make a pledge to the ISPEP community that once they secure a new role, they will renew their membership at the standard rate. In the meantime, they will help ISPEP to continue to drive meaningful change for the field of patient engagement.

If you would like to sign up to the PLEDGE membership, please email us:
