The International Society for Patient Engagement Professionals (ISPEP) is a global, not-for-profit organisation committed to professionalising and advancing patient engagement across medicines development. We exist to support Patient Engagement Professionals (PEPs) through standards, capability-building, and a strong, values-driven community.
As a not-for-profit, ISPEP prioritises transparency, inclusivity, and long-term impact. Our activities are governed by a multi-stakeholder industry advisory board and delivered in collaboration with members, partners, and patient organisations worldwide.

To further help sustainably fund our mission, ISPEP is supported by its separate consultancy entity, which offers strategic services aligned to our professional values. Revenue generated from this arm enables further support of the not-for-profit society. This combined model allows us to not only build a strong professional community, but also actively drive and deliver patient-focused practice through commissioned work.
Our Funding
To support our mission and maintain independence, ISPEP is funded through a blend of the following income streams:
