Get To Know Monica

Monica Halsey is a patient and family engagement professional, childhood disability educator, and parent advocate based in Toronto, Canada. For more than 10 years, she has partnered with healthcare and research organisations to bring family perspectives into healthcare, education, service design, and decision-making. She is a Patient & Family Educator at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and a Lived Experience Advisor with Healthcare Excellence Canada. Monica is also a doctoral student in Child Study and Education at the University of Toronto, where her research focuses on inclusion for autistic children in preschool settings.
