Helen McNaught, BSc (Hons), RN, is an Associate Director and Patient Engagement Lead with more than 20 years of experience across clinical research, nursing, patient advocacy, and the pharmaceutical industry. She is a Registered Nurse with extensive expertise in oncology, haematology, rare diseases, and patient-centred clinical development. Currently supporting global clinical programmes at CSL Behring, Helen leads strategies that integrate patient and site perspectives into trial design, recruitment, retention, and engagement activities.

Previously, she built and led patient engagement functions within both the charity and biotechnology sectors, including establishing Blood Cancer UK's pioneering Clinical Trials Support Service. Helen is a regular speaker on patient engagement and clinical research and serves as the EU Ambassador for the International Society of Patient Engagement Professionals (ISPEP). Her focus is on ensuring that patient voices meaningfully shape healthcare innovation, clinical research, and the development of more inclusive patient-centred solutions.
