This is such an important study. The increase in PAG engagement across HTA internationally has grown dramatically over the last decade as this study notes. PAG engagement and involvement in HTA has differing approaches in different countries. It is really important to gather this evidence to demonstrate the value to pharma, payors and most importantly validate to the PAGs that their contribution is validated and incorporated properly into the HTA process. I look forward to seeing these studies performed in other countries, where applicable.
So good to see the shift towards PAG involvement in HTA assessment and their associated impact. Whilst I fully agree that pharma need to engage early (& often) I'm curious to learn from others regarding how this is best achieved when pharma are reliant on PAGs requesting information and updates?
Wow. If there was ever proof needed on the importance of long term partnerships with PAGs then this is it. A very clear and direct impact on pharma's business model.
